The Virginia Choristers offer an inspirational choral music experience for youth ages six to seventeen. Singers are challenged to attain choral excellence, develop musicianship skills and confidence in their ability to express themselves through the beauty of music. 2011-2012 Season includes performances in the Charleston International Choral Festival in April 2012 and numerous local performances.
Treble ChoirTreble Choir is a vocal readiness program for children in 1st through 3rd grades. During weekly rehearsals, singing, performing and movement activities are designed to develop the singing voice as well as musical literacy.
Lyric Choir
Singers in the Lyric Choir, ages 9-17, learn proper vocal technique, music reading and sight singing skills, as well as the joy of singing with musicality and expression. Music is drawn from diverse traditions and multiple languages. Singers are offered several performance opportunities in the community.
Touring Choir
Touring Choir offers a challenging choral experience for auditioned singers ages 9-17. Students commit to additional rehearsals, perform at a variety of outreach events, and tour throughout the United States and internationally.
