We offer a number of group classes for pre-schoolers through adults, including music discovery, music history and music theory classes.

For children too young to begin dedicated practice on a specific instrument, this class allows them to enjoy the fun of new musical skills. more

Music History for Middle & High School Levels

opens the students’ ears to the creativity of the great composers from medieval to modern periods with in-depth study of great musical works based on the musical, philosophical, historical and cultural elements of each work. The class will open students’ minds and hearts to a life-long love and appreciation of classical music.

Music History for Adults

explores different styles and elements of Western music through listening and discussion of works of the great composers. Emphasis on works to be performed each session by local Richmond orchestras. Concert attendance will conclude each in-depth study. A great opportunity to become and informed concert-goer and add insight and appreciation to the listening experience.
