GROUP CLASSES:
Beginning Strings
For homeschoolers ages 8 and above, this class will help students explore string instrument options while establishing a foundation of musical skills and ensemble playing. Performance opportunities are possible. The first class will focus on instrument selection and class overview. Students must bring their own instrument, portable music stand and class book after the first class. Instrument rental or purchasing information will be available at the first class.
Beginning Band
For homeschoolers ages 9 and above, this class will help students explore instrument options while establishing a foundation of musical skills and ensemble playing. Treble Choir
Treble Choir is a vocal readiness program for children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Through weekly rehearsals, singing, performing and movement activities the singing voice and music literacy are developed.
Lyric Choir
Singers in the Lyric Choir, ages 9-16, learn proper vocal technique, music reading and sight singing skills, as well as the discipline of singing with musicality, movement, and expression. Music is drawn from diverse traditions and multiple languages. Singers are offered several performance opportunites in the community.
Touring Choir
The Touring Choir offers a challenging choral experience for auditioned singers ages 9-16. Students committ to additional rehearsals, perform at a variety of outreach events, and tour throughout the United States and internationally.
Music Discovery
By singing, moving to the beat, listening, and playing a variety of instruments, young children ages 2-6 acquire a musical foundation that will benefit later musical interest and studies. Music Discovery enhances language, self-expression, imagination, motor function and sharing skills. Parents are asked to sit in music circles with their children.
Musical Theater
This class will focus on learning theater basics. Students ages 7-11 will practice scenes and monologues, sing, dance, and learn basic theater terminology. These skills will culminate in an end of term performance. Everyone will be encouraged to use their imagination and creativity to explore the world of theater.
